Being from the great State of Hawaii, I am
delighted to incorporate this page into the website. When I was growing up
in Hawaii I
remember a 'local' beer that everyone drank..."Primo". Gone
now, is that icon of "local brew" culture. It has been
replaced by a few good folks that brings us excellent "Local Brew"
throughout the islands. Thanks bra!

Oahu
Oahu is 'the gathering place. 'Honolulu is sophisticated,
lively, and as breathtaking as the Banzai Pipeline. It has more in the
way of arts, culture, and entertainment. It has an abundance of
galleries, nightclubs, and museums, a major zoo, aquarium, Iolani Palace
(the only royal palace on U.S. soil), Pearl Harbor, the Arizona
Memorial... the list goes on and on.

Hawaii
Twice as large as all of the other major Hawaiian Islands
combined, the Big Island is also the youngest of the island chain. At
some 800,000 years of age, it's also still growing.
The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park contains one of the
world's most active volcanoes which continues to pour into the sea
adding to the shoreline.
Lanai
For nearly 70 years, Lanai dubbed the
"Pineapple Island," was operated as a pineapple
plantation by Dole Company, a subsidiary of Dole Food Company,
Inc. In its heyday, Lanai was the world's largest source of
pineapple, grown on more than 16,000 acres, until the industry
began faltering. Controlling interest of Dole Food Company,
Inc., and its 98 percent holdings on the island was purchased in
1985 by David Murdock, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive
Officer.
By 1993, pineapple was phased out in favor of
more diversified economic prospects, including other
agricultural crops, ranching, and resort development.
In December, 1995, Dole Food Company, Inc., turned interests in
Lanai over to Castle & Cooke Properties, Honolulu. David
Murdock remains Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of both
Dole Food Company, Inc. and Castle & Cooke Properties.

Maui
Lahaina, the first capital of the Hawaiian kingdom, was also a rowdy
port-of-call for whalers of another time. Today, much of the town is a
National Historic Landmark. Amidst 30 restored historical sites, you'll
find a fascinating mix of art galleries, restaurants and exciting clubs.
And although Lahaina is the center of Maui's night life, there are great
restaurants in romantic spots all around the island. Many feature Hawaii
Regional Cuisine, one of the most talked about cuisines in the world.

Kauai
Kauai is as close as one can come to the fantasy world of "Bali
Hai." The Garden Island, as it is nicknamed, is a tropical paradise
blessed with a mild climate, wide sand beaches, and waterfall etched
mountains. It is the oldest and most northerly of the Hawaiian Islands.
It was the first of the Hawaiian Islands that Captain Cook visited and
it was the last of Hawaii's independent kingdoms. The first successful
sugar plantation was established here in 1835. Only on Kauai does the
Mokihana berry grow and it was here that the legendary race of little
people-the Menehune
-flourished.
Molokai
The fifth largest and least developed of the Hawaiian Islands, Molokai
is only 20 minutes by air from Hawaii's most populous islands, Maui and
Oahu.
Molokai's population, numbering less than 7,000, includes the highest
percentage of people of native Hawaiian ancestry of any of the islands.
Because of their friendliness to visitors, Molokai is known as,
"the Friendly Isle."
